Wine & Country Tours

“Napa Valley: A Place in the Sun” Napa has been wine country since the 19th century. It was a farming satelite from San Francisco, a getaway, a country retreat, a place to get away. Prohibition slowed the wine’s progress but the Christian Brothers and a few bootleggers kept the fermentation going. Mondavi and a few others, …not to forget our French brothers, all helped to boost the winemaking into the industry it is today. Although famous for cabernet, it is now known for a slew of other tasty varietals…Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Sangiovesse, Petit Syrah, Zinfandel, Charbono…so many. People talk about the wobble of the earth but it doesn’t seem to effect Napa. The harvest always seems to pull strong, wobble or not.
